Despite the delay in this year's spring, monitoring of the amphibian artificial hibernacula built in the project began at the end of March. 12 structures located in the Romincka Forest Landscape Park were in control.
This year, the hibernacula were used by 167 individuals belonging to six species. Most often you could meet the common toad (Bufo bufo), the moor frog (Rana arvalis) and the common frog (Rana temporaria). Most, however, enjoys the presence of the fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina), which is the main subject of protection in the project.
