In 2019, we built 12 artificial hibernaculas for amphibians in the Romincka Forest Landscape Park. As this is an innovative action throughout Europe, we conduct monitoring every spring - we check which amphibians use hibernaculas. This year's spring was unusual. Throughout March, not a single drop of rain fell, it was sunny during the day, at night - it held a strong frost. At times it was getting very warm in the sun, and we thought that amphibians could end their hibernation at any moment and move from their wintering grounds to water reservoirs. However, it was not until the beginning of April that the annual migration of amphibians began and we started monitoring. We are very curious about the results we will achieve this year, how many and which amphibians have used our "hotels".
