Passages for the European pond turtle in the Lubuskie Voivodeship.
An important element of the project is the construction of passages under the roads, thanks to which small animals - including the pond turtle - can safely get through the communication routes. So far, we have built two passage systems in Masuria - in the vicinity of Mikołajki. Now another construction has been completed - in Rybocice in the Lubuskie Voivodeship - in a place where several cases of turtles run over by cars have been reported. The critical section, 300 m long, was secured with leading fences on both sides. 5 tunnels with a total length of 48 m were built here. The investment is primarily for nature, but it will also improve the safety of drivers.
