We are improving the living conditions of the European pond turtle!
In March, the works on restoring the habitat of the European pond turtle in Faszcze, commune of Mikołajki, were completed. Two water reservoirs with a total area of approximately 2,600 m2 have been restored. Earlier, in this place, in a vast depression of the land, there were remains of former reservoirs, in which the water remained on a small area and for a very short period of time. Now these reservoirs will create optimal living conditions for the European pond turtle.
