We recreate the places where the pond turtle lives
The reservoir was built in the commune of Mikołajki, in the Maskulińskie Forest District. Until recently, water remained in this place and turtles hibernated here. Due to the water deficit in the environment and secondary succession, the entire swamp has dried up in recent years. The treatment carried out as part of the project is aimed at restoring the original function of this place. We hope that the water will stay here all year round, and the pond turtles will be able to stay here again and hibernate.
