We are building passages under the national road No. 16.
Another activity of key importance for the project and active protection of the European pond turtle has begun, consisting in the construction of a system of crossings for small animals under the busy national road No. 16 near the town of Mikołajki. In the past, turtles have been fatally hit by moving vehicles. The action is unique on a European scale and has been treated as innovative by the European Union.
